Do Microdermabrasion results last for a long time or do i need microdermabrasion sessions now and then?

I was wondering if I got microdermabrasion, about 6-10 sessions, would the results from those sessions on my big pores last for a long time? or would i need to take consistent sessions in order for the results to stay?
